Supporting Families Helps with Job Recruitment and Job Retention

As the economy rebounds from the spring of 2020 when the world first faced the COVID-19 public health pandemic, all indications are that the future of work will look very different from the pre-COVID years. For many employers, job recruitment and job retention are ongoing challenges. There are actions that employers can take to better meet the needs of workers with children (i.e., to increase job satisfaction, to strengthen relationships among management and employees to foster a sense of belonging and loyalty, and implement policies to support families such as help with child care needs). Throughout the country, employers are re-thinking ways to address the current recruitment and retention challenges.

Join Businesses for Babies!

Nearly 200,000 children enter kindergarten each year in Florida and almost half of them are not “ready” to learn. This is a reality business leaders can help change – whether through community involvement, family-friendly practices in their business, or using their voices.
Bosses for Babies is an initiative that brings together business champions for early childhood, highlighting the many ways companies can make an impact and inspiring others to take action. These Bosses understand that investing in young children and families is an investment both in their bottom line and in community prosperity.
